The Ranch at Rock Creek

After a morning of hanging with the animals,

and jumping on the trampoline,

we headed over to the Ranch at Rock Creek to see Brandon.

Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe this place.

Sadly, we had to say good-bye on Monday. I feel your pain Roscoe.

The drive home was long, but gorgeous.

Baseball at Purcell Ranch

What Purcell get together would be complete without a baseball game?

The whole gang (dogs included) spent Saturday evening playing ball.

Henry was even giving out no look high fives for every home run!

Everyone had such a great time!

Even the dogs had a blast!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this might be the most beautiful outfield in baseball history. What do ya think?

Weekend at the Purcell Ranch

Henry and I spent Memorial Day up at the Purcell Ranch in Lolo, Montana.

The weekend beganearly Friday morning with a short stop in Hood River as we picked up Emmie and Parker. The drive over was oh so picturesque.

We had a quick breakfast in Hood River, then we hit the road for Montana. After about 8 hours on the road, we arrived just in time to enjoy smores by the campfire.

We woke up early Saturday morning to feed the animals.

First up, the longhorns. Prairie Rose came over to eat first.

 Then, Crackers followed.

Next, it was Bojangles' turn to eat.  Of course, Henry had to say hello first.

After the animals ate, the entire family headed out for a hike around the land.

Joe even serenaded us with a rendition of The Hills are Alive.

I think that performance tired him out because he took a little snooze in the field shortly following it.

Good ol' Roscoe stood guard.

After Joe woke up, we walked over to play on this neat looking tree. Roscoe and Henry were being so cute!

Betsy and Rosco then headed back home on the 4 wheeler.

Of course, Henry got a little jealous.

So Betsy gave him a ride too!

After our hike and 4 wheeling we headed over to the new Lolo Peak Brewery. Lucky for us, Joe and Betsy take the spent grains off their hands each week to feed their animals, so we were treated to a private tour.

The owners walked us through the brewery which is set to open up mid-June. Then, we were treated to a quick run down of how the beer is actually made. It was way too scientific for me to understand.

I even got to participate in the beer making process. This just might be the best batch ever!

Then, they asked if I wanted to pour myself a glass. Don't mind if I do!

Cheers!
