West Coast is the Best Coast

The last few days were spent hanging out on the coast, not the beach, the coast. Apparently, there's a real distinction out here, which I learned during my visit.

Before we get in to that, let's start at the beginning.  Since we don't have a Chipotle in Bend, I researched our route to see if we would come across one on our trip. Well, what do you know?  There's one in Corvallis!! Totally worth the 3 hour drive, pretty sure I'll make this a monthly trip!!

It was Omazing!!!

After chowing down at Chipotle, we drove over to Reser Stadum to see where the Oregon State Beavers play!

We arrived at our final destination in Toledo pretty late, so we hit the sack and prepared for a big day of hiking, eating, and picture taking.

We started Monday off with a great meal and a great view at Tidal Raves.

Then we headed over to Drift Creek Falls for an awesome hike.

So beautiful, right?!

Tuesday brought another hike to the agenda, but first, we stopped to get sandwiches at Deli 101.

Now, on to the Cascade Head hike.

We hiked through a rainforest looking trail and when we made it to the top, this was our view!!!
That's the Salmon River on the left and the Pacific Ocean on the right.

I could have admired that scenery for days.

After the hike we headed into Newport for dinner on the water.

After dinner, we went sunset chasing, my favorite activity.  The fog was pretty crazy so it was tough to see but that didn't stop us from trying.

We decided to spend our last morning on the coast, at Nye Beach. It was super chilly, so we didn't last long, but it was still fun!

It was such a great trip! Thanks to Seanna, the hostess with the mostess!
