Hockey Hall of Fame

After checking out of our hotel, we made our way over to the Hockey Hall of Fame.


I let Madi walk with me since I was wearing the shirt of today's greatest hockey player and she was only wearing a Ryan Callahan shirt. It must be tough being a Rangers fan, slim pickins...











We saw a nice display on the 1980 gold medal hockey team,
U-S-A, U-S-A!





A replica of the Montreal Canadians lockeroom,


And lots of Ovi pictures!











Sami and Dad read up on the highlights of the first 100 years of the NHL.


Oh, hey there Coach! Congrats on your induction into the Hall of Fame! Well deserved!






Seth, Sami, Madi, Tyler, and Rob all attempted to score on the electronic goalie.


Sami and Tyler each scored a goal!


Rob did not.


After the shootout, we made our way up to the cathedral of hockey to see the trophies.





Let's be honest, they may as well call this Ovi's Room! His trophies were everywhere.

Three time winner of the Ted Lindsey award (2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010), given to the Most Valuable Player as voted by the Players Association.






Three time winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy (2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2012-2013), given to the most valuable player as judged by Professional Hockey Writers Association.



Winner of the Calder Memorial Trophy (2005-2006), given to the Rookie of the Year.


Winner of the Art Ross Trophy (2007-2008), awarded to the league's leading scorer.





Winner of the Rocket Richard Trophy (2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2012-2013), awarded to the league's leading goal scorer.





We are so proud of you, Ovi! You certainly do make being a Caps fan fun!!

Next, we headed over to the Hall of Fame store where Dad did some redecorating.








He thought the Great 8 should be in front of every rack so he made the necessary changes. Nice moves, Dad!

It was such a great day! Can't wait to come back when you're inducted, Tyler!
